INSTAGRAM!!!!

I have found it to be more difficult to keep the blog updated this year because the computers at school seem to be continuously running slowly!  Starting on Monday (tomorrow), I am going to begin using an Instagram Account for our classroom!  It will be private except to families.  Please search for us on Instagram under the username BASLERKINDERGARTEN.  I am excited to share more           classroom with this quick, easy way to update!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!  I hope that you had a wonderful, relaxing weekend!  My parents came into town, and we had a blast!  Bennett loved getting some extra time with his grandparents.  I am so thankful to have a wonderful family in addition to getting to work with such amazing families.  I count you all in my blessings!  THANK YOU!

Shape Sculptures

The children worked in groups to create 3D shape sculptures! They came up with a design, built it, and presented it to the class!

Read and Munch!

3D Shapes

Today we sorted our beautiful junk by shapes. The children are learning to identify various 3D shapes. Tomorrow we will begin build 3D shape sculptures!

Catching up on pictures

I apologize for the late pictures...the days are just flying by!  I hope that everyone is enjoying the extra time this weekend!  It is nice to regroup and get organized.  We had a fun week last week.  We went on a nature walk and saw some beautiful leaves around Claymont.  We did leaf rubbings when we returned to the classroom.  On the 30th, we had a special visitor!  Mrs. Reynolds made "Witches Brew".  We had to use all 5 senses to make it and taste it!

Thanks to the classroom for a wonderful birthday celebration!  I am blessed to work with such wonderful, kind and generous families!  I can't wait to take a shopping spree to Ann Taylor Loft! :)

Writing Celebration!

Today we had our first writing celebration!  I am SOOO proud of all of the kids' hard work!  Please check their folders this weekend as they brought the books home!  More pictures are coming soon!! (Sorry for the sideways photo!  I can't seem to turn it around!)
